OVERVIEW

Quadzilla emerged 25 years ago from a passion for racing, expanding to offer a diverse range of sports quad bikes, 4x4 ATVs, and UTVs. With an expansive UK dealer network, they prioritise exceptional customer service for consumers and dealers alike. Seeking a solution for power cuts and a goal to reduce energy bills, Quadzilla reached out to us for assistance.

SCOPE OF WORK

At Quadzilla, the project aimed to diminish reliance on the grid, especially during frequent power cuts, ensuring uninterrupted operations. EV-Wales installed a 66kW solar array, fully optimised with Solar Edge power optimisers, complemented by 20kW of Solar Edge battery storage. Additionally, 3 x 22kW EV charging sockets were installed for staff members, catering to their needs.

CHALLENGES

The project initiated a structural survey for the building, expertly managed by EV-Wales through trusted partners. Additionally, challenging groundwork was required, efficiently handled by EV-Wales using another trusted partner, ensuring a smooth progression of the project despite these hurdles.

IMPACT

Staff satisfaction increased with the provision of charging facilities, and the business's operational continuity during power cuts was ensured through the installed battery backup. Moreover, the company witnessed a significant reduction in electricity bills by 70%, benefitting from being completely off-grid during summer months due to the solar array. This initiative not only addressed their power outage concerns but also significantly improved their energy cost efficiency.
